Privacy Policy

1. Who is responsible

This site is operated by Santanu Karmakar (SKEdgeloop). If you contact me, I'm the controller of the information you choose to share.

2. What this site collects

This is a static site hosted on Cloudflare Pages. It collects a minimal amount of information automatically:

• Visitor log — when you load the site, a single anonymous visit record is stored once per browsing session in a Supabase database. It contains your IP address, approximate location (country, region, city, coordinates), device details (device type, operating system, browser, screen/viewport size, CPU cores, device memory, color depth, pixel ratio, touch points), your timezone and language, accessibility preferences (reduced-motion), preferred color scheme (dark/light), whether you were online, the page path you visited, the referring site, and a timestamp. This is used for site statistics, security, and abuse prevention. See section 4a below.
• Contact form / email — your name, email address, and message, used solely to respond to you.
• Voluntary links — if you click WhatsApp, email, or social links, the corresponding provider (WhatsApp/Meta, your email provider, X, LinkedIn, GitHub) may collect standard usage data under their own policies.

3. Cookies & session storage

This site does not use tracking cookies. It uses your browser's session storage only for a tiny anti-spam counter (the number of form submissions you've made in the current visit). This data never leaves your browser and is cleared when you close the tab. See the Cookie Policy for details.

4. Analytics

Analytics are optional and disabled by default. If enabled, an anonymized measurement ID is used and no personal data is tied to it. No advertising tracking is ever used.

4a. Visitor log details

The visitor log described in section 2 is stored in a hosted database (Supabase, EU/region of your choice). Specifically:

• One record per session, not per page view — refreshing or navigating within the site does not create duplicates.
• IP addresses are used only for statistics (rough location) and to block spam/abuse. I do not attempt to identify individual visitors.
• Records are kept for site statistics and abuse prevention, and are not automatically deleted on a fixed schedule.
• You can ask me to delete any of your visit records at any time (see section 11) — just tell me roughly when you visited and the site will filter it out.

5. What I do with your information

• Respond to your enquiry.
• Never sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing.
• Never add you to mailing lists without explicit consent.

6. Where data is processed & stored

Form submissions are processed by a Cloudflare Worker and delivered to my email inbox (hosted by a privacy-respecting email provider). Your message is stored only in the email you send me and is deleted by me when no longer needed — typically after the project discussion is complete, or upon request.

7. Your rights

You can ask me at any time to: see the information you sent, correct it, or delete it entirely. Contact me using the details below and I'll action it within 30 days.

8. Security

Transmission of your message uses HTTPS. The contact form includes anti-spam measures (honeypot + rate limiting) to prevent automated abuse.

9. Children

This site is not directed at children under 16, and I don't knowingly collect information from them.

10. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the effective date at the top will be updated. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
